We are constantly striving to provide our patients with the finest dental care available. Our investment in advanced technology translates into a long-term investment in your future, because state-of-the-art technology invites informed decision-making and enables patients to make wise choices concerning their oral health. Dr. West offers the latest dental technology for your benefit:
Diagnodent
This laser diagnostic tool accurately detects areas of decal at the earliest stages to allow us to detect and treat problems while they are still small.
Intra-Oral Camera
This camera allows us to quickly and easily photograph the inside of your mouth and teeth. The photographic image can be projected onto a color monitor. Because this magnification allows you to see your mouth more clearly, you care better able to participate in your treatment.
Digital X-Rays

X-rays assist in the detection of periodontal (gum) disease, as well as cavities between the teeth that may not be visible in the mouth. Decay that is just beginning can be detected earlier by an X-ray, so that your treatment becomes less invasive and costly. Also, abscesses and certain forms of cysts and tumors can be detected by an X-ray evaluation.
Panorex
The panorex film provides us with a panoramic view of the oral cavity and provides information at a glance about existing fillings, supporting bone, sources of infection, tumors, cysts, and decay. The panorex film shows more of the jaw and surrounding structures, but shows less detail of individual teeth than small films.
Computers
Our computer system is designed to efficiently manage the most complex information in the dental industry. Our system handles treatment and payment options. We make sure our computer system takes care of the technicalities so that you are provided with the most up-to-date information available.
Implants
We have the ability to restore various types of dental implants. We offer a variety of different implant systems and can perform multiple procedures on the same day. We will be happy to evaluate your dental needs and determine if you are a candidate for dental implants.
Air Abrasion
With this technique fine particles of a sand-like material are released under pressure directly to a tooth surface. These air particles replace ‘drills’ to remove decay from the tooth surface, making these procedures less invasive, more comfortable, and faster for the patient than conventional treatment. Typically, no anesthesia is required for this procedure.
Nitrous Oxide
Laughing gas, used for patient comfort, can be used during restorative, periodontal, or surgical procedures. We will be happy to discuss the indications for nitrous oxide use at your request.
CASEY
The CASEY system is a dental education program. Patients can view the latest dental techniques in a step-by-step format through the use of interactive system.
